Australian Industry Trade College (AITC) had embarked on rapid expansion across multiple campuses in South East Queensland and in 2019 faced the challenge of establishing campus-level accounts, budgets, forecasts and variance analysis while operating a centralised hub-and-spoke shared services model. Budgeting and reporting were previously managed with fragile spreadsheets reliant on a few individuals, so AITC engaged IDU, implementing the Budgeting and Reporting modules of IDU (idu-Concept) to achieve better financial governance, continuity of assumptions and faster, accurate financial reporting.

IDU deployed its web-based idu-Concept budgeting, forecasting and reporting solution to automate manual processes, centralise assumptions and allocate costs across campuses. IDU’s solution delivered accurate, complete and transparent financial information, enabled campus-level benchmarking and faster forecasting and scenario analysis, instilled greater financial accountability across management and freed the finance team to focus on strategic work—helping shorten budgeting cycles from months to weeks.
