South Thames Gateway Building Control (STG) needed a more efficient, cost-effective way to deliver building control services while competing with the private sector. To move away from paper-based processes and improve case management, it looked for a digital solution tailored specifically to the building control sector and selected Idox Cloud from Idox.

Idox implemented Idox Cloud for Building Control as a centralised, cloud-based system for applications, inspections, records, and remote working. The results included a 37% increase in productivity, an 85% saving in administration time, and improved plan assessment turnaround times from 70/71% to 93.5% within target timescales. The solution also boosted online application uptake from 40% to 61% and enabled business continuity during lockdown.
