Cheltenham Borough Council needed to modernise siloed legacy systems and reduce overheads while maintaining business as usual and improving services for staff and citizens. Working with Idox, the council adopted the Uniform case management solution to create a central, end-to-end digital platform across key services including Planning, Building Control, Environmental Health, Licensing, Estates Management and Land Charges.
Idox helped Cheltenham Borough Council move its taxi and private hire licensing function fully online, supported by online forms and back-office software. The results included £93k in savings in less than a year, 100% channel shift for licensing, £40k saved through legacy system consolidation, £15k saved by reducing paperwork, 156 public-facing hours saved, and a 71% improvement in end-to-end customer journey times.
