A Idox Case Study
The University of Salford needed better control over a large and expanding estate, with 31 buildings across three campuses, student accommodation, and a 350-strong estates team to support. As maintenance, compliance, and space management demands grew, the university turned to Idox and its CAFM Explorer facilities management software to help coordinate operations across the campus.
Idox implemented CAFM Explorer as a single, web-based platform for planned and reactive maintenance, helpdesk requests, room and resource bookings, and stock control. The system has helped the University of Salford manage around 157,000 square metres of space, process more than 1,400 helpdesk requests each month, and monitor about 1,500 warehouse items, while improving visibility, responsiveness, and overall estate efficiency.
