A iDonate Case Study
Thomas Jefferson University, formed through multiple mergers and now operating across numerous campuses and hospitals, needed a robust fundraising platform to support research, education and patient care while simplifying donor experiences and eliminating manual back-office data entry. Facing complex, multi-entity fundraising needs, Senior Director David Ritchie selected iDonate in late 2016 to provide an integrated, enterprise-capable giving solution that could also be rolled out independently by individual organizations.
iDonate’s platform—integrated with Raiser’s Edge, embeddable forms and peer-to-peer tools—streamlined processing, increased staff efficiency and opened online major-gift capabilities. As a result, Jefferson saw a ~200% improvement in staff processing efficiency, two major online gifts in 2017 and two more in 2018, peer-to-peer fundraising contributing 13% of total funds in its first year, and year-over-year gains of 41% in average gift size, 41% in total giving, 90% in recurring gifts and 35% in recurring givers.
