How Service Dogs, Inc Tripled Its Average Gift Size

Service Dogs, Inc. is a Texas nonprofit that trains rescue dogs to become service animals for people with mobility and hearing impairments, with each dog requiring about $40,000 in training and provided at no cost. Facing a poorly performing mobile donation experience, high abandonment rates, limited payment options (only credit cards), and growing credit card fee costs, Service Dogs turned to iDonate to improve fundraising performance during their 2015 #GivingTuesday campaign.

iDonate implemented its mobile giving platform, wide-ranging gifting options, and a Salesforce connector for fast integration, going from contract to live in three days. As a result, Service Dogs tripled its average gift size from $25 to $75 (a 300% increase), now receives the majority of donations via mobile, can accept noncash gifts more easily, and sees 71% of donors opt to pay processing fees — outcomes Service Dogs credits directly to iDonate’s platform and support.
