PPL, a Pennsylvania-based utility serving 1.4 million U.S. customers, needed to boost customer engagement, drive use of online tools and paperless billing, and cut through low industry email/video benchmarks. To meet that challenge PPL partnered with Idomoo and used Idomoo’s personalized video platform to deliver quarterly/seasonal personalized video reports showing individual usage, comparisons and savings opportunities.
Idomoo produced the personalized videos and the campaign drove a 335% improvement versus industry benchmarks, with significantly higher open/view/click rates (opened 34.7%, viewed 17.4%, clicked 13%), 85% of viewers watching past 1.5 minutes, 87% of recipients saying the videos were useful, and a cost per response under $1—delivering measurable increases in engagement, satisfaction and cost-efficiency for PPL.
