Mercer Uses Personalized Video to Solve the Pensions Engagement Challenge

Mercer, the world’s largest human resources consulting firm, faced a major engagement challenge: although 90% of employees ranked pensions as their most important benefit, the complexity of pension communication left employees disengaged and inactive. To address this, Mercer partnered with Idomoo and implemented Idomoo’s Personalized Video as a Service (PVaaS™) to deliver clear, individualized pension communications that made the information meaningful and actionable.

Using Idomoo’s PVaaS and a template-based approach, Mercer deployed personalized video campaigns for 8 clients (live in the UK and Ireland, with Spain in deployment and 20 more deployments planned), delivering new campaigns within days and easily scaling the program. Results were strong: 65% of recipients clicked to watch their video, 45% of viewers then took further action (a 4.5× improvement over the 10% industry benchmark), and average video completion rates were around 80%.
