EWE Go, a subsidiary of EWE AG that builds digital products and services for electromobility and recently launched the E-Sharing scooter service, needed a legally required identity‑verification step that would run digitally, quickly and reliably to improve customer acquisition and day‑to‑day operations. To solve this, EWE Go partnered with IDnow and implemented the AI‑powered identity verification solution IDnow AutoIdent.

IDnow’s AutoIdent was integrated into the EWE Go Sharing App (via partner M‑TRIBES/M‑TOOLS) to provide seamless, in‑app verification. The solution delivered strong results: over 80% of customers are successfully verified (most onboarded in under five minutes) and more than 90% are ready to use the app within minutes, improving conversion, user experience and operational efficiency for EWE Go.
