Forbo Flooring, a global leader in resilient and textile floor coverings with 12 manufacturing plants and operations in 32 countries, faced growing pressure to reduce costs while maintaining high quality and efficiency. Lacking solid data on stoppages and unplanned downtime, the team needed an OEE solution to identify process issues, build business cases for machinery replacement, and forecast the impact of improvements.

After a spreadsheet-based trial, Forbo piloted and then rolled out Idhammar’s OEE system to about 70% of tasks (with plans to reach 90–95%), using dashboards and KPIs to pinpoint the largest, long-term losses.
