Sumner-Bonney Lake School District - Customer Case Study

Sumner-Bonney Lake School District, which supports about 1,075 employees and 10,000 students, was struggling with a fragile, homegrown IAM built from PHP scripts and daily Skyward imports that forced users to manage multiple logins and overwhelmed the help desk. After evaluating options, the district selected Identity Automation and its RapidIdentity suite to replace the legacy system.

Identity Automation deployed RapidIdentity modules for Identity Lifecycle Management, Authentication (SSO and MFA), Identity Governance, and Rostering, automating provisioning/deprovisioning tied to Skyward and enabling SSO to more than 35 applications. The solution automatically disables accounts when staff leave or students graduate, enforces MFA for leadership, streamlines rostering to systems like Clever and SWIS, simplifies password workflows for students, and delivered measurable gains in security and operational efficiency across the district.
