Saint Luke’s Health System - Customer Case Study

Saint Luke’s Health System, an integrated network of 16 hospitals and more than 11,000 employees, faced slow, cumbersome clinician roaming as staff had to manually log in and out at each workstation. To streamline workflows and meet HIPAA and meaningful-use requirements, Saint Luke’s selected Identity Automation’s HealthCast product QwickAccess to work in front of their existing SSO environment.

Identity Automation deployed QwickAccess to leverage clinicians’ passive proximity badges with USB readers so a tap populates Active Directory usernames, temporarily caches passwords, and auto-launches Citrix sessions, with a tap-out to securely disconnect. The solution delivered seamless roaming and stronger security and produced measurable productivity gains—clinicians save time each day and physicians report seeing two to three more patients per day—while helping Saint Luke’s meet regulatory requirements.
