Norway’s Universities, working through Sikt, needed a standardized identity and access management platform to strengthen higher education cybersecurity across a diverse university network. They also needed to meet strict GDPR requirements, automate manual access processes, and reduce the burden on IT teams. Identity Automation’s RapidIdentity Cloud Lifecycle Management was selected to address these challenges.

Identity Automation implemented RapidIdentity to automate the user lifecycle, improve data organization, and enforce configurable access controls across multiple institutions. The solution removed old accounts, helped ensure one account per user, and streamlined operations between IT, HR, and student administration. The results included a 15%–40% reduction in help desk cases, stronger GDPR compliance, and successful rollout to six institutions, with plans to expand across all 21 universities under Sikt’s purview.
