New Caney ISD - Customer Case Study

New Caney ISD needed to modernize technology to support a 1:1 laptop program for nearly 10,000 students, replace shared logins, enable a secure wireless network, and provide reliable 24/7 access to cloud applications and teacher–student collaboration tools. To meet these challenges the district selected Identity Automation and its RapidIdentity solution to provide secure single sign-on, account provisioning, and directory management.

Identity Automation used RapidIdentity to migrate New Caney’s directory to Microsoft Active Directory, provision accounts in staged rollouts for staff, teachers, and students, and enable secure Google Gmail access and self-service password tools. The deployment supported district-wide project-based learning, continuous cloud access and engagement, and cut IT workload by 80%, while delivering controlled, auditable student access for the one-to-one device initiative.
