Long Beach Unified School District Chooses Identity Automation’s Next-Gen IAM Solution

Long Beach Unified School District, one of the forty largest U.S. districts with 94 campuses and over 90,000 users, needed to adopt cloud apps like Google Apps and Office365 as part of a move to a more digital learning environment. The district was running eDirectory and had to migrate to Active Directory—while temporarily managing users in both systems—and wanted to implement its first full user lifecycle management to replace inefficient manual processes. Long Beach Unified School District selected Identity Automation and its RapidIdentity solution to address these needs.

Identity Automation implemented RapidIdentity to automate user provisioning, manage identities across eDirectory and Active Directory during the migration, and enable secure access to cloud apps such as Google Apps and Office365. The deployment gave Long Beach Unified School District a centralized user lifecycle system, reduced reliance on manual point tools, and secured systems and applications while supporting the district’s transition to modern, cloud-based infrastructure.
