Lincoln County School District Secures the Digital Classroom and Connected Environments

Lincoln County Schools, a North Carolina district supporting 12,000 students and 2,000 staff across 25 schools, faced slow, manual identity and access work—IT spent days activating new users, managing duplicate records, and handling password resets. To solve these challenges they engaged Identity Automation and chose RapidIdentity to supplement the state IAM and centralize provisioning, password management and user data.

Identity Automation implemented a local RapidIdentity deployment that integrated Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Google Apps/Office 365 and Follett Destiny to automate provisioning and deprovisioning and enforce user lifecycles. As a result, accounts are created automatically on day one and purged at termination, freeing IT resources, improving security and compliance, reducing costs and storage, and enabling seamless access to additional apps across the district.
