Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Seamlessly Integrates Digital Textbooks and Enhances Classroom Learning with Rapididentity

Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District (GCISD) faced a time-consuming, error-prone rollout of digital textbooks that required months of manual data extraction from its student information system, Skyward, and one-at-a-time uploads to multiple textbook vendors. To solve this, GCISD partnered with Identity Automation and used its RapidIdentity identity and access management solution to centralize roster data and single sign-on for students.

Identity Automation’s Professional Services mapped vendor requirements and set up nightly Skyward-to-RapidIdentity data pulls that automatically push accurate roster information to Pearson, McGraw Hill, STEMscopes, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and other systems. The RapidIdentity integration eliminated manual workflows, ensured up-to-date rosters and immediate student access after course changes, and provided accurate accounting of textbook licenses—streamlining operations, reducing errors and removing the need for ongoing teacher or IT intervention.
