Cherokee County School District - Customer Case Study

Cherokee County School District, a public PK-12 school system serving 42,000 students and 6,000 employees, needed a more robust identity and access management solution than the Microsoft-based system it had used for years. The district struggled with cumbersome username-and-password logins for young and special needs students, along with the need for simpler passwordless authentication and stronger security for staff. Identity Automation provided RapidIdentity Cloud, including Lifecycle Management and Authentication, to better fit the district’s education-focused needs.

With Identity Automation’s RapidIdentity platform, Cherokee County School District streamlined identity lifecycle management, enabled SSO with MFA, and began piloting additional tools like Workflow, PhishID, SafeID, and ShieldID. The results included cleaner directory data, easier login experiences through QR codes and persona-based portals, less time spent on password resets, and stronger security for district systems. Identity Automation also delivered responsive, education-aware support that helped align security with a better user experience.
