A Identity Automation Case Study
Lodi Unified School District, which serves 29,800 K–12 students across 350 square miles and employs more than 3,000 staff, faced growing pains as it adopted more cloud-based learning tools. The district relied on its financial system and SIS for authoritative data but was stuck with slow, manual account requests from schools and fragile SIF-based data extraction that caused synchronization errors, delayed day‑one access for new hires, and left orphaned accounts that increased security risk. To solve this, Lodi turned to Identity Automation and its RapidIdentity IAM product.
Identity Automation implemented RapidIdentity to extract and synchronize data from Lodi’s financial system and SIS into Active Directory, automatically creating network, email, and work‑folder accounts without manual intervention. The solution was live by the next school year, producing zero pending account requests on day one, ensuring accounts were pre-created for new hires, reducing help‑desk calls and firefighting, improving consistency in provisioning, and lowering security and administrative overhead.
