Kansai Nerolac Paints, the largest industrial and third-largest decorative paint company in India, needed a scalable way to tap into ideas from its more than 2,000 frontline employees because existing tools like Microsoft Forms and Teams couldn’t effectively handle intake, evaluation, prioritization, and progress communication. They selected Ideawake’s innovation management platform to solve this gap.

Ideawake implemented its platform to manage the entire innovation lifecycle—using real-time chat, mentions, automated reminders, custom scorecards, and multi-group reviews—to centralize idea collection, evaluation, implementation, and impact tracking. Since launch with Ideawake, Nerolac has run 20 challenges and generated 1,378 ideas (11,313 votes, 747 comments), shortlisted 10 ideas, and now assigns teams and tracks projected impact from a single platform, improving collaboration and decision speed.
