Powering ExamOne’s continuous improvement program to reach across geographical boundaries

ExamOne, a Quest Diagnostics company with 1,200 employees across more than 50 field offices, needed a better way to collect and manage ideas for its continuous improvement program—previously ideas were submitted on offline “idea cards,” which made tracking, evaluation, and data entry difficult. To centralize and streamline this process, ExamOne adopted the Ideawake idea management platform for real-time ideation and program coordination.

Ideawake rolled out its platform (launched at ExamOne’s national convention on February 15, 2017) to enable mobile and web submissions, centralized evaluation, and collaborative challenges. To date Ideawake has helped ExamOne collect over 300 ideas (303 posted), run 23+ challenges, achieve a 70% engagement rate, 252 comments and 654 votes, and put 18 ideas into development — with expansion to more employees and financial impact figures forthcoming.
