Palisades Tahoe Increases Employee Engagement Scores by 74% in 6 Months According to McKinsey's Org Health Index

Palisades Tahoe, one of the largest ski resorts in the United States and host of the 1960 Winter Olympics, needed a better way to create continuous dialogue with its 2,600 full- and part-time employees to surface ideas that would improve safety and guest experience. To capture, incentivize and implement employee suggestions accessible by smartphone, Palisades Tahoe partnered with Ideawake and adopted the Ideawake platform for an ongoing employee suggestion and innovation program.

Ideawake launched seven focused challenges, helped create a cross-functional innovation board, used A/B-tested communications to boost participation, and provided onsite support to optimize the process. As a result, Palisades Tahoe recorded a 74% increase in employee engagement within six months (per McKinsey’s Organizational Health Index), received 226 idea submissions, 341 comments and 654 votes, moved up two quadrants on the index, and began implementing employee ideas to improve guest experience—delivered through Ideawake.
