Rundle-Spence, a long-standing Wisconsin distributor of plumbing, heating, and septic products, needed a way to tap employee and customer knowledge to boost sales without opening new branches and to reduce warehouse and delivery costs. To do this they partnered with Ideawake and used Ideawake’s employee idea-management platform — including its mobile-friendly interface and email campaigns — to engage frontline staff across their New Berlin, Madison, and Fond du Lac locations.
Ideawake’s solution drove strong participation: 63% employee engagement, 40 ideas posted, 7 ideas in final evaluation, 33 comments, and 68 votes placed across Rundle-Spence’s 86 employees. Ideawake helped the company capture actionable ideas to improve products, services, and efficiency; Rundle-Spence is launching a second challenge and plans to extend future campaigns to customers and vendors to accelerate response to market changes.
