Aspin Group Ltd, a leader in foundation, civil, geotechnical and structural engineering for rail, highways and infrastructure, needed a way to deliver an information-rich BIM model for a bridge inspection project. Working with Ideate Software, the team faced the challenge of linking large volumes of inspection and asset data to a Revit model for Hampshire County Council’s future asset management use.

Ideate Software’s Ideate BIMLink was used to import and manage thousands of records and hyperlinks within the Revit-based Asset Information Model, connecting defects, reports, images, and supporting data to model elements. The result was a more intuitive, user-friendly model that improved access to asset information and helped Aspin Group provide a more valuable service for condition assessment and remedial planning.
