Aurecon Streamlines Seismic Mitigation Work with Ideate BIMLink

Aurecon, an engineering and technical services firm, needed a faster and more reliable way to manage the growing volume and complexity of seismic design data for resilient structures in earthquake-prone New Zealand. Working with Ideate Software and its Ideate BIMLink tool for Autodesk Revit and Microsoft Excel, the team faced the challenge of transferring detailed information such as anchors, screw piles, rebar, foundations, and structural framing into models without introducing manual errors.

Ideate Software’s Ideate BIMLink enabled Aurecon to move verified engineering data from Excel directly into Revit, eliminating double handling and reducing transcription mistakes. The result was faster data processing, fewer opportunities for error, and smoother coordination across projects, including emergency response facilities, with consistent naming for 65 facilities and less risk of costly delays or on-site rework.
