Accelerating projects and collaborating more closely with other project teams thanks to Ideate BIMLink

Associated Architects, a Birmingham-based architectural practice known for complex education, commercial, and regeneration projects, needed a faster, more reliable way to manage large volumes of BIM data and collaborate with contractors and other project teams. Working with Ideate Software, they looked for a solution that could support a validated, data-rich Revit model for a university campus project and help align information across design, supply chain, and FM requirements.

Ideate Software implemented Ideate BIMLink, along with Revit-related support and training, enabling Associated Architects to move data between Revit and Excel for easier editing, validation, and import/export. The results included several days saved per project on room schedules, weeks saved on drawing naming and issuance, a 2- to 3-day site survey point process reduced to 15 minutes, and improved COBie data handling, QA, and collaboration—delivering major efficiency gains across the business.
