Lehigh University launches governed QuickSight analytics in 1–6 weeks with Ideas2IT Technologies

Lehigh University faced escalating Tableau licensing costs and limited analytics access restricted to senior leadership and select departments. They needed to migrate to Amazon QuickSight but required a governed, role-aware platform to enforce strict access controls across financial, academic, and departmental data without risking data exposure. They partnered with Ideas2IT Technologies to solve this challenge.

Ideas2IT Technologies designed and built a governed Analytics Home Dashboard integrated with Lehigh's SSO and the QuickSight API to resolve user roles and enforce row-level security from Redshift. This provided a secure, branded entry point for campus-wide analytics access. The solution replaced limited Tableau access with a scalable, governed QuickSight foundation, enabling Lehigh's internal teams to maintain and expand the platform independently while reducing BI costs.
