Radisson Hotel Group’s U.K., Ireland and Western Europe portfolio—72 properties with widely varying meeting and event spaces—faced the challenge of optimizing revenue across guest rooms and meetings-and-events inventory. Different property sizes and a mix of corporate and social business made it hard for the central revenue office and local teams to analyze demand and form consistent strategies. Using Smart Space from IDeaS, nearly 80% of hotels gained cloud-based visual analytics to understand demand, pace, and space utilization, enabling teams to identify underused rooms and reconfigure space (for example, removing a wall to create a larger room justified by Smart Space demand analysis).
