Meetings & Events Management Tools Align Revenue Management and Sales Initiatives

Amaris Hospitality, which manages more than 65 branded hotels across the UK and Ireland, faced a fragmented revenue approach: guest room revenue was managed well via IDeaS solutions, but meetings and events pricing was manual, inefficient, and siloed across properties. To achieve “total hotel performance” and give revenue managers a holistic view of property revenue, Amaris turned to IDeaS for a meetings- and events-focused solution.

IDeaS implemented Smart Space, a cloud-based platform that links revenue and event sales teams by analyzing demand, forecasting, and pricing for function space. Combined with training from IDeaS and the vendor’s existing tools, Smart Space has already delivered significant results at four hotels, improved visibility and team alignment, and enabled Amaris to sell space in parts when demand is low—capturing revenue that previously would have been lost—and is being rolled out to additional properties.
