Hotel ICON, a 262-room luxury property in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, faced the challenge of maximizing revenue from its upmarket club rooms and suites (38.5% of inventory) while most demand focused on lower-rated standard rooms. To improve room-type pricing and yielding in a hyper-competitive market, Hotel ICON turned to IDeaS and implemented the IDeaS G3 RMS.
Using IDeaS G3 RMS to forecast and price by room category—reducing overbooking of entry-level rooms and forced upgrades—Hotel ICON saw measurable gains within three months: 4.51% year-on-year RevPAR growth and a 7.35% increase in ADR for club and suite rooms. Hotel ICON is also planning to expand with IDeaS Smart Space to optimize meetings & events revenue.
