La Fonda on the Plaza, a historic 180-room boutique hotel in Santa Fe, faced intense local competition and the challenge of maximizing revenue across distinct guest segments with a relatively small inventory. To meet this, the property partnered with IDeaS, deploying IDeaS’ predictive analytics and automated revenue management tools to better align pricing with guest behavior and market dynamics.
Using IDeaS’ analytics within daily cross-functional planning, La Fonda set floor rates, dynamically adjusted pricing between traditional and upgraded rooms, and evaluated group-business scenarios (even declining groups that would displace higher transient revenue). The result: average daily rate rose more than 8% year-over-year and the hotel achieved a record RevPAR index of 150% versus its competitive set, while embedding an automated revenue management culture supported by IDeaS.
