Fairmont Vancouver Airport, the only soundproofed luxury hotel inside Vancouver International Airport, struggled with very short booking windows—most business stays book just 30–45 days ahead—making it hard to forecast occupancy and set the right rates. To tackle this, the hotel partnered with IDeaS and implemented the IDeaS Revenue Management System.

Using IDeaS, including its Alerts module to monitor market conditions and trigger proactive notifications, the hotel improved forecasting accuracy to within about 50 room nights for compressed periods up to 60 days out and reduced manual work by three to four hours per day, freeing staff to focus on meeting room revenue targets.
