Clackamas Women’s Services - Customer Case Study

Clackamas Women’s Services, an Oregon nonprofit serving women and children affected by domestic and sexual violence, was using Salesforce with the Nonprofit Starter Pack 2.0 and a one-to-one account model. As their major donor and household giving programs grew, they found reporting clunky and confusing, especially when trying to track donor relationships and gift history. They turned to Idealist consulting for help upgrading to the latest NPSP and moving to the Household model.

Idealist consulting helped Clackamas Women’s Services clean up data before the upgrade and guided them through the transition to NPSP 3.0 and the Household account model. The result was cleaner donation reporting, easier naming and layouts, better moves management tracking, and stronger fundraising visibility in a single household record. The team saw improved efficiency, smoother user adoption, and saved staff time, with the upgrade expected to pay for itself through lower operating costs and better reporting.
