California Nonprofit builds a 360-degree advocate view with Idealist Consulting

A California-based nonprofit was using several disparate legacy systems since the late 1990s, which prevented them from getting a complete view of their advocates, donors, and customers. They wanted to modernize and achieve a 360-degree view of constituents who participated in their programs. To address this challenge, they reached out to Idealist Consulting for help implementing Salesforce for nonprofits.

Idealist Consulting executed a multi-phase solution, implementing Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud’s Nonprofit Success Pack and building a custom Apex REST API to integrate their online payment systems. This allowed all donation, ecommerce, and event registration data to flow directly into Salesforce. The result was that the nonprofit now has a complete 360-degree view of its constituents in Salesforce, enabling easy online registration and payment while providing staff with all necessary data.
