ProcessMAP Helps thyssenkrupp to Elevate Employee Safety

thyssenkrupp Elevator (tkE), a global leader in mobility solutions with more than 50,000 employees and operations in 150+ countries, faced significant EHS challenges in a high‑risk industry. Relying on paper and spreadsheet-based processes created errors, delays and poor visibility, and more than 70% of its workforce being field-based meant desktop-tethered systems failed to drive adoption or deliver the accurate, complete and timely (ACT) data needed for proactive safety management.

tkE chose ProcessMAP’s cloud EHSQ platform and rolled out the SAFEtk solution in 2018 across North and Latin America for over 15,000 users, using modules such as Incident and Audit Management, Claims, AppBuilder, Learning and Analytics. The mobile-first, configurable deployment drove strong adoption and measurable improvements — near-miss reporting via mobile increased 98%, audit inspections rose 37%, trainings conducted increased 85%, investigations were completed much faster (61% within 24 hours with large year‑over‑year gains), and the program delivered a notable reduction in recordable incident rates — enabling data-driven, proactive safety management and plans to expand to other regions and use cases.
