The City of Toronto faced a significant challenge with its community centers, which were burdened by an antiquated, paper-based data infrastructure. This cumbersome system diverted staff focus from their mission and limited opportunities for enhancement. To modernize their processes, the city engaged vendor Idea Theorem for UI/UX design and development services to create a seamless online database solution.

Idea Theorem implemented a solution using a comprehensive, data-driven research approach that included surveys, user interviews, and focus groups. This method ensured the final product was informed by deep community insights and was thoroughly user-centric. The outcome was the successful design and development of the SCCC Portal for the Scadding Court Community Center, which fostered greater inclusivity and efficiency for both staff and community members.
