Investec Asset Management needed to simplify communications after acquiring Rensburg Sheppards, which had already absorbed several other firms and inherited a complex network infrastructure. With 11 regional offices across the UK and more than 600 employees, its old systems were basic, ineffective and expensive.

IDE Group recommended, designed and deployed Cisco Call Manager to bring all users onto one platform, first in Liverpool and then across Leeds, Belfast, Sheffield, Manchester and Glasgow. The rollout added features such as presence, hot-desking, call recording and direct dial, while also improving disaster recovery, resilience and uptime; the result was significant cost savings, better productivity and faster access to the right people.
