THAT Group managed the development of the Bournemouth Hilton and Hampton by Hilton hotels in a project backed by more than £60m. To meet the connectivity needs of the new hotel complex, the company needed fast, secure and reliable service that could support guests across the whole building and match the premium standards of the property. IDE Group was selected to help provide future proof connectivity for the site.

IDE Group delivered a dedicated fibre solution linking the hotels directly to its nearby data centre, including a tailor-made underground fibre optic network topology over a 3000m distance. The project combined new fibre digs with existing ducting and was completed in three months, in time for the press launch. The hotels can now connect 10Gb or more of capacity directly into the building, with local businesses on the new fibre route also able to access private fibre leased lines.
