Day Lewis Pharmacy, a nationwide retail pharmaceutical company with over 1,600 employees at 250 UK locations, needed more reliable IT systems, 100% uptime, and faster support. When it first partnered with IDE Group, its small IT team had to support more than 900 desktop and mobile devices, many inherited through acquisition and running on conflicting software across several platforms, while also managing updates and auditing machines across stores.

IDE Group provided its System Automated Management (SAM) software toolset, nationwide field engineers, and Professional Services support. The work included software and policy updates, software packaging, remote control, backup of critical patient data, a Windows XP to Windows 7 upgrade across all 2,000 workstations, and a new resilient virtual infrastructure with hybrid flash storage, a 10Gb switch core, upgraded LAN and security, and cloud-based Disaster Recovery. Day Lewis reported near enough 100% uptime, reduced response times from hours to days, and greater confidence in escalation and troubleshooting.
