BaxterStorey needed a new IT setup after relying on a single data centre at HQ with many physical servers. The company wanted a solution that would support growth while improving business continuity and disaster recovery, and it worked with IDE Group on the project.

IDE Group helped BaxterStorey introduce a dedicated primary data centre and virtualise almost its entire server estate, using VMware and HP P4500 for server virtualisation and VMware View VDI for desktops. The result was faster server deployment, stronger resilience, and remote desktop access for DR, including 50 virtual desktops set up for remote access and disaster recovery. BaxterStorey also said it has been able to keep its core IT team at four people over four years despite continued growth.
