A IDBS Case Study
Biokit, a Werfen company specializing in diagnostics R&D and manufacturing, wanted to make its research spending more effective by improving access to experiment data and reducing the risk of lost or duplicated work. Working with IDBS, the company looked for a way to replace disparate information sources and support better collaboration across its R&D teams.
IDBS implemented E-WorkBook, an electronic laboratory notebook, after a successful pilot in Biokit’s biochemistry and chemiluminescence labs. The rollout expanded to 40 staff across multiple R&D areas, helping scientists save an estimated 4–6 hours per week, reducing administration time significantly, and enabling lab managers to save 4.5 hours per week.
