Bluefin validates PCI P2PE and deploys 11,000+ ID TECH devices

Bluefin Payment Systems, a payments company, sought to become a PCI-validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) solution provider to help merchants devalue cardholder data and drastically reduce compliance costs. They partnered with vendor ID TECH and utilized their SecuRED and SREDKey encrypted card readers to build this secure solution.

ID TECH provided the certified P2PE devices that were central to Bluefin's validated solution. The results were significant, with Bluefin deploying over 2,000 SecuRED devices for The Hillman Group and more than 11,000 SREDKey devices for clients like Intelligent Contacts. One client reported eliminating about 95% of its PCI exposure, and merchants found that P2PE reduced their PCI compliance scope by approximately 90 percent.
