The World Bank reduces time to publishing with Ictect

The World Bank, a leading international financial organization, needed a system to manage and publish its complex process documents to support internal transparency initiatives. This process was cumbersome and error-prone, creating a significant gap between content creation and web publication. To address this challenge, the bank partnered with vendor Ictect to implement a solution leveraging the Intelligent Content Plug-In.

Ictect implemented an intelligent content architecture that enabled the bank's staff to author content directly in Microsoft Word and Visio using a custom plugin. This content was saved as XML to a MarkLogic server and then published to the bank's Vignette e-Publishing system. The solution implemented by Ictect significantly reduced the time to publish content and provided an IT architecture that directly supported the bank's policy on process transparency.
