Scholastic Book Fairs, part of the global educational publisher Scholastic, runs more than 125,000 book-sale events reaching over 35 million children and manages incentives for about 500 payees. Their legacy mix of manual processes and homegrown tools made it hard to redefine territories, measure performance on a seasonal (non-calendar) cycle, and quickly answer field data requests, placing a heavy burden on compensation analysts.
After benchmarking vendors, Scholastic implemented Iconixx ICM to automate incentive compensation. Iconixx supported non-traditional calendar measurements, flexible territory assignments, rapid activation (<4 months), and scalable plan management, while improving data access, response times, compliance (controls and audit trails) and freeing analysts to focus on strategy rather than manual calculations.
