University of Richmond School of Law’s Children’s Defense Clinic - Customer Case Study

University of Richmond School of Law’s Children’s Defense Clinic selected iCONECT’s web-based eDiscovery review platform to analyze hundreds of hours of CCTV and police body‑worn camera footage captured during protests around Confederate monuments in the City of Richmond. The Clinic’s challenge was managing and securely reviewing 100s of videos of varying lengths while accurately documenting incidents and inappropriate conduct.

iCONECT delivered a secure, web‑hosted solution (pro bono software hosted by HLP in Washington, DC) that enabled 70+ reviewers to view, pause, comment, timestamp and tag areas of interest across the collection. The deployment allowed coordinated analysis of 100s of videos, produced searchable timestamps and tags for incidents, and streamlined the Clinic’s ability to document and review misconduct for its legal work.
