Toronto Pearson International Airport transforms 6,500 sq. ft. of arrivals space in 2 weeks with Icon Digital

The Greater Toronto Airport Authority, operating Toronto Pearson International Airport, sought to revitalize passenger experience and boost tourism as travel rebounded post-pandemic. They partnered with Destinations Toronto and photographers Take Your Seat, and engaged vendor ICON Digital to produce and install large-format visual displays that would create a welcoming "sense of arrival" in the baggage claim halls.

ICON Digital implemented a turn-key solution, fabricating and installing 14 massive fabric prints, each roughly 30 feet wide, across three baggage halls totaling over 6,500 square feet. Using Samba fabric for vibrancy and durability within custom SEG frames, ICON's team completed the complex overnight installation in just two weeks, half the allotted time. The project was well-received by airport executives and travelers, successfully transforming the space into a bright, engaging gallery showcasing Toronto's landmarks.
