The Town of Whitby, Ontario, worked with iCompass to fix an extremely inefficient agenda and meeting process that was consuming an entire day plus 3–4 hours of overtime for each agenda. Agenda packets were being photocopied and couriered to Council, agendas were posted online by the IT department, and the overall process was stressful, last-minute, and labor intensive.

iCompass implemented its Meeting Management Solution, CivicWeb, and the AgendaNotes iPad application to streamline agenda creation, support paperless meetings, and make public access to council information easier. The Town of Whitby reported estimated savings of about $470,000 over five years, a reduction in monthly overtime from 15 hours to 1 hour, and roughly 10 hours saved in agenda preparation each month, along with strong organizational buy-in and improved public access to agendas and minutes.
