Case Study: City of Walker improves transparency and streamlines agenda management with iCompass

The City of Walker enables its citizens to access agendas, records and archived documents online in a moment’s notice

The City of Walker, Michigan, needed a faster, more accurate way to prepare agendas and manage records. Clerks were spending too much time manually assembling agenda packets, correcting errors, and handling paper archives that were difficult to search or share. To address this, the city turned to iCompass and its Meeting Manager Pro, Records Manager, and CivicWeb Portal products.

iCompass implemented a cloud-based, paperless workflow with the AgendaNotes iPad app, flexible agenda templates, and an online public portal. This made agenda preparation and review much easier, reduced formatting mistakes, and gave citizens quick access to agendas, minutes, and archived records in a fully searchable database. The city reported major time savings, improved transparency, and positive media attention, with only a 2-hour training session needed and support changes often handled the same day.
