Case Study: USAID achieves increased global collaboration with iCohere's online conference platform

A iCohere Case Study

Increasing Global Collaboration with Online Conferences

The US Agency for International Development (USAID), through its SHOPS (Strengthening Health Outcomes through the Private Sector) program and partner Abt Associates, needed a way to convene global health experts, NGOs, investors, and entrepreneurs across 50+ countries despite time zones, limited bandwidth, language differences, and accessibility requirements. USAID’s challenge was to deliver cost-effective, easy-to-navigate online conferences that would expand collaboration and participation from developing regions while meeting ADA/Section 508 standards.

iCohere provided its online collaboration platform and production methodology to host the SHOPS virtual conferences, offering low‑bandwidth and mobile/HTML access, multilingual site support, registration/directory tools, live and archived video/webcasts, built‑in help desk support, and ADA‑compliant features. The iCohere solution enabled events such as SHOPS Access to Finance to draw more than 360 participants from 58 countries (exceeding the 300-person projection), broaden professional diversity across dozens of nations, and deliver persistent archived content for asynchronous global access.
