SIGNALIS, a technology company in France, was challenged by outdated and poorly implemented monitoring systems, including an old version of Nagios and Centreon. They sought a modern, centralized solution to manage their extensive network infrastructure and chose Icinga to replace these legacy systems.

Icinga implemented Icinga2 along with supporting tools like Thruk and pnp4nagios to centralize monitoring for multiple projects, including its Spationav and Suez canal VTS systems. The solution modernized their configuration management, simplified integration with their Puppet deployment system, and significantly consolidated their architecture, such as replacing three Nagios servers with a single small-form-factor server monitoring 150 IPs through 3000 services. As a result, SIGNALIS now has a scalable, future-proof monitoring platform that will form the core of all their new maintenance systems.
